It is not negotiable, which explains Lift Shop’s enviable safety record. Different lifts have different safety features, so have them demonstrated when you visit the potential supplier’s showroom.
In-Cabin Self Rescue, rescue from the machine space, emergency communication, power failure sensing lowering, and more. Whilst all are safety elements, they are not all equal or enough individually.
All home lifts are not equally safe, the standards do not guarantee safety, and safety comes at a cost. Your family’s safety should not be compromised, and many suppliers confuse this topic to get your money.
Safety features are listed with the lift models.
Service costs need to be low because they are usually paid for by one home owner in after-tax dollars. (Unlike commercial elevators)
How:
This means a more reliable service for clients and lower costs.
Every Lift Shop™ lift comes with an 8-year warranty, the BEST in the industry.
Not an add-on. Not a limited offer. Just how we do things.
Applies to all new lift sales from 1st July 2025.
Why the confidence?
Less wear and tear: Over 90% of our lifts are in private homes, protected from public misuse.
Built to outlast: We use premium components, not planned-obsolescence parts.
When a lift is made to last, the warranty should match.
Peace of mind isn’t a bonus. It’s standard.

Choose the A-Series hydraulic for retrofits and compact spaces—it requires just 150 mm pit depth and suits homes with 2–3 stops. Choose the C-Series electric traction for quiet operation—it needs 190 mm pit depth and works well for families wanting near-silent performance.
Choose the E-Series gearless traction for luxury and capacity—it handles up to 6 floors, carries up to 7 persons (450 kg), and travels at 0.60 m/s. We assess your home layout during your site visit to recommend the best series.
Our A-Series hydraulic is the best choice for narrow shafts and tight footprints. It requires minimal pit depth (150 mm) and our Italian engineering allows flexibility in cabin dimensions to fit your exact shaft opening. Options for swing or sliding doors optimise tight spaces.
If your shaft is extremely tight, we work with you to optimise cabin size and door configuration. Our expert design team reviews your shaft dimensions and recommends configurations that maximise usable space.
The A-Series is hydraulic: 4–6 persons, 0.30 m/s speed, 32A single-phase power, 150 mm pit depth. Best for retrofits and compact spaces.
The C-Series is electric traction (MRL): 4 persons, 0.30 m/s speed, 15A power, 190 mm pit depth. Quieter than hydraulic, no machine room needed.
The E-Series is gearless traction: up to 7 persons (450 kg), 0.30–0.60 m/s speed, 25A power, 270 mm pit, handles up to 6 floors. Fastest and most spacious.
Pit depth differs because of the engineering of each series. The A-Series hydraulic needs just 150 mm pit depth. The C-Series electric needs 190 mm for rope and pulley clearance. The E-Series gearless traction needs 270 mm for the counterweight system.
Shallower pit depth (A-Series) is less expensive to construct and suits retrofits. Deeper pits (E-Series) require more excavation and structural work, increasing builder costs.
We include scaffold for safe installation, one month free storage, a GSM emergency phone in the cabin, and In-Cabin Self-Rescue (ICSR). An 8-year warranty covering parts and labour plus your first three years of servicing are also included.
Not included are builder works (shaft construction, pit preparation, structural modifications) and electrical upgrades beyond standard connections.
No, not with our C-Series or E-Series electric traction lifts. These are MRL (machine room-less) designs with the motor integrated within the lift shaft.
The A-Series hydraulic needs a separate cabinet to house the pump unit, typically located in a basement or plant room.
The A-Series hydraulic requires 32A single-phase power. The C-Series electric traction needs 15A. The E-Series gearless traction requires 25A. All operate on standard domestic electrical infrastructure.
We assess your power supply during the site visit and advise if upgrades are needed.
The A-Series typically serves 2–3 floors. The C-Series handles 3–4 floors. The E-Series can serve up to 6 floors, ideal for multi-storey homes.
We recommend the best option based on your floor plan and total travel height.
Yes. Single doors are standard. Opposite doors allow through-cabin traffic. Adjacent doors suit corner installations.
Sliding or swing doors are available depending on your layout and preference.
One-Touch means press once and the lift travels automatically. Hold-to-Run requires you to hold the button continuously.
All Lift Shop lifts include One-Touch as standard for ease of use.
Our price includes lift supply, installation, testing, handover, scaffold, storage, GSM phone, ICSR, and an 8-year warranty with 3 years servicing included.
Builder works are excluded and quoted separately.
Our 8-year parts and labour warranty is among the most comprehensive in the industry. Many competitors exclude labour or offer shorter coverage.
Combined with 3 years of free servicing, it protects you during the critical early years of ownership.
