In accepting a commission to refresh and rationalise the floor plan of one of the most outstanding residential buildings remaining of marvellous 1880s Melbourne, young solo-practice architect Zoe Geyer admits she was “in awe of the features, quality and craftsmanship” of the four-level-plus-cellar Queen Anne revival mansion terrace, part of the heritage-listed Queen Bess Row in East Melbourne.
