Lift Shop is a team of early adopters who believe in quickly adopting and implementing the latest sensible technologies available. We bought lots of iPads as we believe in the tablet computer concept and the efficiencies. Tablets provide significant gains when you connect directly to the correct supporting infra-structure which we already have in place.
In the field, all our leading hands are receiving their iPads, they already have iPhones. The iPads enable them to review, technical manuals, training documents, safety documents, job specific documents (service histories and slips, electrical schematics, drawings) in real time. This ensures that they always have the necessary information with them, which is quick to access and easy to find and read. This will save each man from carrying 5kg of technical papers in their vehicles and make lost documents redundant.
In the classroom, Lift Shop has proudly donated 25 iPads and 9 sofas to Coogee Prep school. The school has been recently rebuilt and has a new library / IT centre but lacks the budget to furnish or equip. Lift Shop is thrilled to be given such a substantial opportunity to give back to our community by helping to fit out this beautiful new space. The kids and school have quickly embraced this new technology and we are proud to be a part of an environment that embraces the future of learning. The feedback so far is that the kids look forward to class and learning when they know that the lesson involves the iPad. We think a love of learning and education is a great thing. Geography and Space amongst other subjects has never been more fun.
In summary, the iPads save money by providing efficiency in the field. The saving are invested in our community, helping prepare kids for the future, to help ensure that we all have a great future. Lift Shop customers give back, and we don’t have to raise prices. As a Lift Shop customer, you should feel good about what you helped make happen.
