When Australia’s oldest department store required a new platform lift for its iconic Sydney city store, Lift Shop delivered and installed a P1 platform lift. The installation process was a simple overnight operation, ensuring there was no inconvenience caused to staff or customers. No ordinary platform lift, this order was specially painted in a custom gold colour to match the existing gold handrails on the stairs and accentuate the elegance and grandeur of the store’s entrance. Travelling just 600mm, no gate was required for this platform lift, which operates on back-up batteries and will continue to run even in the event of a power outage.
