The Lift Shop Executive Team has accumulated more than 60 years experience in the lift industry. They are a cohesive unit, ensuring that obligations to clients, staff and all stakeholders are satisfied. We believe that you should know who you are dealing with.


Les Katz - Managing Director and founder.

As the Founder and Managing Director of Lift Shop, Les Katz is a highly regarded leader and innovator in the lift industry. Working in the industry for more than 17 years, in 2003 he singlehandedly redefined the luxury residential lift category by developing and introducing the first genuine, purpose-built luxury residential lift prototype for the Australian market. Today, Lift Shop has been recognised as "the fastest growing lift company in Australia" for the fifth year running. Regarded Australia-wide, and internationally, as the leading authority on residential lifts, Les is a highly-qualified, experienced and disciplined leader who was nominated for two separate Entrepreneur of the Year awards in 2011.


Bernard Edwards - National Sales and Marketing Manager.

Bernard leads Lift Shop's talented sales and design team, and has been meeting - and exceeding the needs of Lift Shop customers since 2005. With considerable business, marketing and sales experience, Bernard has an unwavering enthusiasm for understanding customer needs and matching them with the perfect, customised Lift Shop solution... and he gets it right every time!


Ian Johnston - National Operations Manager.

Standing at the helm of Lift Shop's largest division, Ian has been in a leadership role for lift company operations for nearly 30 years. He qualified as an electrician in the Australian Navy and at age 25 joined Schindler Lifts, where he first met Les and began a friendship that has spanned nearly two decades. Ian is arguably one of Australia's most experienced lift technical professionals. Throughout his stellar career, Ian has trained hundreds of lift installers and maintenance technicians.


Scott Giroux - Manager - Victoria.

Scott is a fully-qualified electrician and commenced his Lift Shop career as a technician before quickly moving into a leading hand role, becoming a tester and adjuster and spending time in sales and administration. Enthusiastic, energetic, intelligent and dedicated, and familiar with the entire gambit of lift company operations, Scott now heads up Lift Shop's Victorian operations.


Lisa Black - Financial Controller

Lift Shop is proud of its A Grade Credit rating (Source: Dunn and Bradstreet) and the fact that we are financially very strong. This is important not just for our staff but also for our customers. Our perfect financial reputation is because we manage our money correctly, paying on time, honouring responsibilities and managing properly what we are entrusted to do. Behind any decent company is a solid financial plan and control. Lisa and her team make sure it is implemented correctly and on time.
