For mums with strollers and kids in wheelchairs, this lift is a life saver.
The child care centre needed a small lift and had a tiny budget. Fortunately the ELFOLIFT from Lift Shop fitted their needs perfectly and the bright colours, high ceiling and glass panels in the doors allow a small lift to feel big.
The low annual maintenance and running cost is also attractive to this centre who prefers to spend its hard earned money (they are little kids) on the kids.!
Another BCA E3.6 compliant Elfo designed for retro fit to an existing building. Once again, an old building needed access for those of limited mobility to get to the top floor. The Elfo plus shaft were supplied and installed by LiftShop in 16 weeks. This value solution was carried onto site in kit form and assembled.
LiftShop does not require craneage for any of its Lift installations.
In this solution, a school needed to get a lift to the 2nd floor for wheelchair students. So they cut a hole in the floor, and we poked a steel and glass lift through the middle.
This 1100 x 1400 internal cabin Elfo is BCA E3.6 compliant. It has 900mm wide landing doors, a handrail and car operating panel at the correct height and full height infrared protection to the landing openings.
LiftShop forbids the use of single beam sensors due to safety risk.

Ronald McDonald House - RandwickIf you ever wondered where the change that you leave in the box at McDonalds goes, - now you know. Ronald McDonald House had an old lift within it, its been serving our community for years. The old platform had ceased to function and a limited space was available. In addition, fire rating was required for the shaft, so 2 hour fire doors were installed in McDonalds red colour. The other benefit is that, Ronald McDonald House is a charity, they dont have money to waste, and so the low operating and maintenance costs of the Elfolift is something they considered and appreciated. |
In January 2006 a ferry crashed into Wharf 2 at Australia's busiest harbour - Circular Quay. Nobody was hurt but thousands were inconvenienced the boat was damaged and the wharf destroyed.
Sydney Ferries were required to rebuild the floating wharf and include a salt water resistant lift. A critical delivery timetable and high technical requirement was satisfied with Lift Shop delivering its marine durable Elfolift (shaft in glass and AIS 316 Marine Grade Stainless Steel) on budget and early.

Australian Federal Police Secret Location Sydney RetrofitDue to the lift being located on the 8th floor and travelling up to the 9th floor, the client needed a lift and its observation shaft from Lift Shop. It was the best solution able to incorporate a minimal pit requirement (130mm), a minimal headroom (2500mm) and low impact. Our installers were thrilled to be able to carry the lift in a lift. (lift equipment in the existing lifts to the 8th floor, where they then began the assembly) This Elfolift cabin is set out as an opposite through car and compliant with the limited mobility code requirements. |
When this beautiful building was built alongside the railway station in Sydney more than 100 years ago, trains was the transport focus.
The refurbishment in 2008 meant that modern delights like a lift was required.
This 1100 x 1400mm (deep) Supermec carries 500kg and is suitable for those of limited mobility or in wheelchairs.
A low roof means that a low headroom is required. Refurbishment alongside the old block work means that a deep pit excavation would be a problem too.
The Supermec with its Traction drive 250mm pit, 2800mm headroom and power failure proof backup battery drive system was perfect.
The shaft with its rough galvanised finish and clear glass and mirror observation lift car blends perfectly with the building style.
Naturally another satisfied customer.

Neutral Bay Modernisation of existing building Panoramic Glass Lift Cabin and Glass ShaftThe 3 story high foyer was the focal point of this building and provided the necessary light well to the property. The clients selected a custom glass and stainless steel Supermec with transparent glass doors to the landings and lift car. As a retro fit, it had to be carried in by hand and built without impact to the building foundation or the arched roof overhead. The panoramic lift car, gives a feeling of spaciousness. |
The P2 Platform manufactured by Sites in Italy is convenient when requiring a machine to lift a wheelchair two vertical metres.
It looks good with its anodised Aluminium and glass cabin perched on top of a scissor hoist which is hydraulically driven. This machine is popular due to its ability to simply be placed on the ground and not require a self supporting structure around it.
This stock item can be supplied and installed within 7 days of order (Australia wide).
Steel is the latest innovative and exciting project from renowned designer Michael McCann and the team behind Pony in The Rocks, which includes executive chef, Damien Heads. The restaurant and bar is unique to Sydney, offering a concept similar to the funky restaurants and bars often found in New York and London. With 220 seats in total, the restaurant resonates with grandeur and elegance.
Its not often that a glass and custom stainless steel lift is a major feature of a funky and prominent restaurant, and its really cool when it does.
That's us, in the glass box, we love attention, and certainly we love being a part of such an outstanding venue. The architect was most particular in his requirements with lighting coming from the floor of the lift and much more, it's a real honour to be of superior service. Thanks for the honour.
We suggest you pop down to STEEL to see the lift and enjoy a steak and a glass of red at the same time.

A prestigious location across from Sydney's QVB and Grace Central Plaza commands some of the highest rents in the world. Challenges include traffic, noise, and just below our feet is the main underground train line.
The project had to be done fast, with numerous trades side by side. The entire building was being renovated and 3 levels of access was now required. We had to build a steel and glass lift and a shaft whilst carrying our equipment in through a narrow door on a very busy street.
Lift Shop provided the right angle adjacent through car Supermec with its energy saving traction drive and minimal pit depth (250mm). Great locations demand a great look so the client requested our steel and glass shaft in a custom colour.
