Further explanation is required as clients have reported deliberately defamatory and incorrect interpretations of matters relating to our business.
Lift Shop has taken action in the past to protect our reputation. For example, we did so successfully in November 2009 but this was expensive, distracting and time consuming. At Lift Shop we prefer the full truth. These are the proper facts.
What is the difference between one showroom and five?
Nothing. (according to our competitor).
They wish to compare and big note themselves, but there is a difference between hyperbole, exaggeration, puff and outright deception.
We have reported this to the authorities.
In the meantime decide for your self... is this a simple inability to count, or deceptive. If they think we are wrong in our observation, they can sue us.
UNLIKE any other Residential Lift Company, Lift Shop has a genuine network of 4 publically open showrooms where you can try a working lift/s.
The matter with the ACCC has now been concluded BY CONSENT and without any penalties, which was an option open to the ACCC to seek.
Lift Shop has fully co-operated with the ACCC throughout the inquiries.
Since June 2004 to date we have contracted to supply more than 800 lifts.
In the case of two one-metre platform lifts supplied in September and December 2008, Lift Shop substituted a Wessex (UK) brand one metre platform lift in place of a Pollock (UK) brand lift which we had agreed to supply to each customer. We made this change without the consent of the two customers. Today, Lift Shop only supplies the Wessex one-metre platform lifts which we call the P1.
We are very sorry - we did make two mistakes.
This matter is now fully concluded and part of our history. We do not however believe it is proper to conceal nor deny the facts of what occurred.

Know who you are dealing with. Transparency matters.
Our good financial reputation was earned through many years of proper dealing. Certainly it helps when the MD is a qualified account and a CPA.
Lift companies take substantial deposits in advance of delivery of the goods. The customer is exposed in these challenging commercial times.
Lift companies have been failing (recently was Oakfield Holdings Pty Ltd (in Liquidation) - T/A Soames Combined Services and EHI Fluid Power Pty Ltd (in Liquidation) T/A E-Lift).

"this is what Google had to say, when looking for Australia's only Lift Shop."
Even competitors recognise that our name, is synonymous with value.

A competitor is distressed at being left behind with old technology, as a result, they claim our "in cabin self help button" is a sign of product or service deficiency. They claim that an incredible Lift Shop innovation is a $50 extra (although don’t offer to supply it at any price), and that it could be dangerous.
This is offensive, malicious and ludicrous.
It is as disgraceful as suggesting that airbags are required because the car will crash. Or airbag are not needed for their vehicle, because it will never crash, whilst admitting in the same paragraph to having a fleet of tow trucks / rescue vehicles. (a service they charge for, subject to time of day, etc.)
Whilst this may be mischief, at Lift Shop we are not reckless with passenger safety and convenience.
Trapped passenger risk, is a reality of the lift industry, it does happen. To free passengers safely and quickly is the priority. Technology that helps this occur is a great thing. Whilst the feature is worth more than $50, we think it is worth including, regardless of price.
Our passengers can be free in the time it takes to boot up the NAVMAN software and mount it on the windscreen. (don't count the traffic time in our capital cities! )
Freedom is the ability to self help immediately - that is ALWAYS better than paying someone to come and help.
To our potential clients who are influenced by the competitor. We agree to pay you the $50 if you show us the feature in your lift from our competitor. We don't think they can do it. But if they can, we will pay for it for you.
The in cabin self help button is a free inclusion to our incredible Freedomlift.

My 10 year old daughter searched online for the leading residential lift company in Australia, and found 4 on the first page.
The reality is that a number of companies claim leadership. They do this because they know that buying a lift can be complex process involving great expense.
The hope is that, you get so confused that you give up on the important criteria, and simply select from the leaders range.
The marketing title for this is obfuscation.
What is a leader?
To us leadership is about helping our customers choose the right lift for their project.
It is about showing our customers the lifts that we can supply, the design solutions that we can implement and our commitment to ensuring that the best possible service is supplied at all times.
As industry leaders we set trends by being first with new innovations and designs and by winning market share as proven by our numerous independent awards.
