Customer Satisfaction is King

Lift Shop is operated by a team of lift industry professionals dedicated to providing complete customer satisfaction.

In our efforts to deliver the best products, people and value, in 2007 we transitioned to a new lift manufacturer who was able to deliver a superior solution for one-metre wheelchair platforms.

During this time we failed to communicate to two customers that we would provide the better wheelchair platform lifts, which featured handrails that differed to what had been ordered and looked different. The one lift was in a school and the other at the back of a council chamber.

This issue and the supply of over 800 lifts was then investigated by the ACCC, the investigation concluded in early 2010 and all other transactions were found to be in order. Lift Shop co-operated throughout, admitted to the error, pleaded guilty and issued a formal apology as soon as it was brought to our attention.

Lift Shop was not fined and it was agreed with the ACCC that we would conduct further training and modify our compliance systems to ensure the mistake would not be repeated.
